What we learn about God

God is the sovereign Lord sitting on the throne, holding the destiny of the world in His hand via the sealed scroll.

Christological Connection

Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the Root of David, yet He appears as a Lamb that was slain, demonstrating that victory comes through sacrifice.

Systematic Theology

Atonement and Christology. Jesus substitutionary death is the sole reason He is worthy to execute Gods plan for history.

The sealed scroll represents Gods righteous decree and judgment (Law). The Lambs blood purchased people from every nation, demonstrating ultimate Grace.
