Theological Analysis

What do we learn about God?

God is just and demands fairness in all dealings. "For the Lord is righteous; he loves righteous deeds" (Psalm 11:7).

How is Christ Connected?

Jesus' teachings about honesty and integrity echo these principles. "Let your yes be yes, and your no, no; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37).

What Theology concept is taught?

Divine Justice. God's nature includes both justice and mercy, but justice is essential.

Do we see Law or Grace?

The laws set standards for justice (law), but the careful limitations on punishment also reflect a measure of mercy (grace).

Personal Application

Be honest in all your dealings, both large and small. Strive for integrity in your words and actions. "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out" (Proverbs 10:9).
