What we learn about God
We learn about God's power to grant blessings and wisdom exceeding human comprehension. God is also faithful to His promises. "Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the Lord your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them forever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness." 2 Chronicles 9:8
Christological Connection
Solomon is a type of Christ. Solomon's wisdom, peace, and glorious reign foreshadow the greater wisdom, peace, and reign of Jesus Christ. "The queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here."
