Theological Analysis

What we learn about God

God is the giver of victory over death. He is the one who raised Christ and will ultimately subject all things under Christ's feet.

Christological Connection

Jesus is the "last Adam" who brings life, the firstfruits of the resurrection, and the conquering King who defeats the final enemy, death.

Systematic Theology

The Resurrection of the Dead (Eschatology/Soteriology). Christ's bodily resurrection is a historical fact and the linchpin of Christian theology.

Law & Grace

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. But God gives us the victory (Grace) through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Personal Application

We must stand firm and immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that because of the resurrection, our labor is not in vain.
